Wave Goodbye to Water Woes in the Garden and Home with the New AquaCharge Cordless Water Pump

GLOUCESTER, MA – 01 September, 2011 – From routine garden pond and aquarium draining to clogged sinks, the Rule Innovation AquaCharge is the water-pumping solution for the job. The launch of this product brings to the market a portable and rechargeable water pump that provides an instant solution for household use. The AquaCharge pump also has the unique ability of evading salt water corrosion, providing the capability to pump salt water in addition to fresh water.

The AquaCharge handheld water pumping solution is small (7” x 3.25” x 5.5”) and lightweight (3.6 lbs), making it a manageable and easy to use household item. The pump is suitable for a range of domestic applications including aquarium cleaning, pond cleaning and water feature emptying. The AquaCharge water pump is also just as efficient when solving marine flooding problems, such as the removal of water from kayaks, canoes or even sailboats.

Included in the AquaCharge package is a fully-submersible pump, a rechargeable, low voltage NiMH battery, a flexible eight foot (2.45 metre) hose and a convenient charging station. The low voltage battery means the water pump can be in continuous operation and also allows safe submersion in water for the duration of use. It can connect to any standard garden hose, facilitating easy use in a garden of any size, and has 166 UK gallons (754 litres) per charge pumping capacity. The included charging station allows for easy recharging of the battery to ensure your pump is never inactive due to not having batteries on hand.

“The AquaCharge water pump unites first class engineering and rapid innovation from ITT, allowing the ever changing needs of the customer to be met,” explains Jeff Schopperle, Product Manager at ITT Flow Control. “The pump is a dependable, efficient and compact solution to any household water removal issue, facilitating easy use for a wide range of applications.”

AquaCharge is available online and through a selection of retailers nationwide. It retails for an estimated £51.29 in the UK and €58.95 in Germany and France. Visit www.aquachargepump.com for more information

In January 2011, ITT announced its intent to separate the corporation into three standalone publicly traded companies by the end of 2011. ITT’s water-related businesses will form a new standalone water company to be called Xylem Inc.  Xylem is the Greek word for the tissue that moves water in plants. Following the spinoff, the company will retain its industry leading product brands such as Flygt, Goulds Water Technology, WEDECO, WTW, Flojet, Bell & Gossett, Lowara and many others.
